Here are all the details that you will need in order to run the Travelling Adventure, as well as the video that Tinies Adventures customers will get to see when they log onto the PMA.

Each week customers get access to a Private Members Area where they can view lots of useful information, a video of a class, our weekly baby signs, and many other useful resources. Watching the video that customers receive (below) may help you learn how to perform the songs.

Here are all the songs you will; need and the running order. Make sure when you are running the Twistin Tinies Adventures that you make every Adventure a story with some continuation between each song, as though you are actually out on and Adventure with baby.

Signing Activities

At most sessions, we will do some baby signs, and we use a mix of BSL, ASL and Makaton. For baby signing, it doesn’t really matter which signs parents use, so long as they are consistent, as they are not likely to be signing to anyone else, just to their baby. We are moving more towards Makaton signs and if there is not a video to accompany the sign you are learning, you can usually find it on You Tube.

You can also use the following website – www.babysignlanguage.com – which contains signs for ASL and is a useful resource.

Here are the details of the signs that you will need to learn for this session. You will have some signing cards that you can hand out to parents at the class. You may decide to put them on the mats so they have them for when they arrive, or you can hand them out as and when you get to the activity in the Adventure. Be sure to ask parents not to let babies eat the cards as we need to use them again (as you know everything usually goes in babies’ mouths!) and make sure you warn them to take off the clips holding the cards together and put them somewhere safe  where baby cannot get hold of them as they may present a choking hazard.

Travelling week_signing explanations

Airplane Sign : To sign Airplane, take your outstretched hand and tuck in your middle finger and your ring finger (the two fingers next to your pinky), to make an airplane. Then move your hand away from your body as if flying. Sound effects are optional!
Tucking in those two fingers is often difficult for an infant and you will often see airplane simplified with either all four fingers tucked in, or with all fingers outstretched.

Dress Ups 

This week’s dress ups are our Aviator Hats. How cute so our babies look? Remember to remind parents that they are making memories at our classes.
