There are currently four of us who make up the Twistin Tots Team.
We are always on the lookout for fun-loving and enthusiastic people to join our Team (and if you have a musical or Performing Arts background that’s even better, but not essential), so if you think you would like to join us, do get in touch!
Jacqui Davis, Founder / Owner
Mother of two, Jacqui Davis, founded Twistin Tots in June 2006, when she was pregnant with her second child. It started as one class in Belper on a Tuesday afternoon and has now grown to lots of Public classes and numerous Nursery and Pre-School sessions over five days in seven locations and three separate businesses (Twistin Tots, Twistin Tinies and Twistin Tikes)!
Jacqui says, “I had always wanted to be a teacher when I was younger, but my career path initially led me into education and training and later into Marketing (which comes in handy now too!). When I quit work in London and moved back up north from London in 2004, life was too quiet, so I founded Twistin Tots to give myself an interest outside of my two wonderful girls. Thanks to local support, and lots of hard work, it has gone from strength to strength; we now operate a range of different classes, have expanded our offer to include sessions at Care Homes, and in 2000 have taken our classes online to enable even more parents to benefit from them. I love my job and can’t imagine doing anything else now. I love being my own boss and the flexibility that affords – and it’s the best thing in the world to see all those tiny smiling faces looking back at me during classes!”
Jennifer Pritchett joined the Team in early June 2016. Jenny mainly focusses on Nursery sessions, although you may see her popping up at classes from time-to-time at Public classes when cover is needed. Jenny is currently on maternity leave.
Jenny writes…..
“I am delighted tobe part of the Twistin Tots Team. I have always had an artistic background having attended dance classes for many years from an early age and then travelled the world as a professionally trained Dancer. Once I was back on home soil I passed my knowledge and experience of the Performing Arts on to children of all ages as a Dance Teacher. I also have lots of experience of working with this specific age group of children having worked in Nurseries and Pre-Schools in the local area as a qualified Nursery Assistant.’
“After my daughter came along I decided to stay at home with her which was when I discovered Twistin Tots. I saw the excitement and enjoyment on my daughter’s face when she joined in Jacqui’s sessions and we have been attending regularly ever since.’
“I working with groups of children and sharing my lifelong passion of music, dancing, singing and education with you all – and most importantly having lots of fun…I hope you enjoy my classes!!”
