Running all aspects of a business was daunting at first as it was an unknown, and I wasn’t sure I could do it. But there’s lots of help, and I soon adapted. And now I can’t imagine doing anything else!”
Personality Sells
Twistin’ Tots has been running successfully for over 15 years. Classes are well received because of their relaxed informal style and fun concepts, but also because customers like the people who are running them….. Personality sells!!
As a franchisee, you will be buying into a proven business model, but your personality can help to develop it even further. All of our classes are about parents and children having fun, while educating and developing them at the same time; they are also a great way for parents to meet new people, make new friends and provide their children with an opportunity to mix with their peers in a fun environment.
So, are you suited to running a franchise?
You don’t need any particular qualifications to run a Twistin Tots franchise, although a Performing Arts, Music or Drama background would be useful.
The most important things that we look for in our Team members are personality and bags of enthusiasm. We don’t require you to hold any particular qualifications, but we do need you to have limitless energy, patience, a cheerful disposition and enjoy working with children. (We do require a DBS check, but that’s the easy part!).
You don’t have to be musically inclined, but you will need the confidence to stand up in front of an audience and be able to entertain them. You will also need to love children (having little ones of your own will definitely be an advantage in this job!) and enjoy meeting new people. A sense of humour will also help!
It’s not all fun. The job does entail some degree of “furniture removal” – moving equipment, tables chairs etc in venues. There will be some basic accounting and marketing, but our systems will help you with those tricky bits and we will provide you with templates for your use and a marketing guide for promoting your classes.
What will I be doing as a franchisee?
There is no typical day, although we would expect you to commit to running a minimum of three activities per week. You can run as many activities as you wish on top of this and these can be fitted around school runs, pre-school pick ups, school holidays, family commitments etc as you see fit.
You do not have to run in the school holidays, but if you may decide to do so, as most groups shut down for the Summer, so you may have a captive audience!
So, are you still interested? If so, a Twistin Tots Franchise may be just what you are looking for. If you are self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic and have bags of energy, this opportunity could be exactly what you are looking for.
If you would like to take this further, please complete the Franchise Questionnaire and record your Audition Video and return to us as advised above.
“When I first discovered Twistin Tots I realised that it would allow me to combine my love of working with young children with my expertise in the Performing Arts, and give me the flexibility to choose my own work schedule that fits around me and my family. The support network has been brilliant from the start; from the initial training to the ongoing support and regular meetings, it really builds the feeling of being part of a great brand”
