Well…………. music is good for kids and all of our classes are fun!
All classes aim to promote learning, co-ordination, co-operation and movement in young children. In addition, they meet key learning outcomes for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) that children follow once they go to pre-school and primary school, so by attending classes, you are giving them an excellent foundation on which to build for their later education.
At Twistin Tots classes there is some structure, but children are allowed to ‘be themselves’ – we don’t constrain them to follow strict rules and children are free to interpret instructions and follow them in their own way. A variety of songs and an array of exciting props ensure that no-one is ever bored and sessions cover a variety of topics that further aid vocabulary, speech, language and motor skills development.
At Twistin Tinies, we offer a baby-bonding session which helps to develop baby’s innate abilities; a music session with stimulating and exciting props where children and parents can learn songs to do at home; plus a relaxed coffee time with tea/coffee and cake where parents can chat, swap experiences and make new friends and babies can learn to interact with each other.
Our Twistin Tikes sessions – for ages 3-5 – follow four themes and cover more complex songs with more instruction for older children, to ensure they are kept stimulated and are developing essential skills needed for starting school.
We are now also running Twistin Tikes sessions in Care Homes, taking along our children and parents to mix with elderly residents and adapting sessions so that they include activities for chair-based exercise for elderly residents.
