Extended Music & Play Session – no need to book, just turn up!
Twistin Tikes is our class for older children – aged 3-5. All are welcome – we won’t turn you away if Mondays are the only times you are free! – and we do have a number of under 1s and toddlers attending this session, who are enjoying it! However, the class programme is different to that of Twistin Tots and has been designed to challenge older children a bit more. All songs are instruction based and designed to develop gross and fine motor skills, as well as making your children ‘School Ready’.
We have a number of themes – Food, People, Places, Transport, Under the Sea, Space, Wild Animals, Farm Animals – and these are added to amend changed all the time. We also have our regular ‘favourites’, such as Going on a Bear Hunt, parachute activities, Five Naughty Monkeys and The Goldfish, which appear at classes more regularly. We also use lots of puppets at this class.
This session is one of our extended Music & Play sessions, so we have an hour’s Twistin Tikes’ music, followed by 45 mins play for children attending – with a selection of toys and ride-ons, plus the opportunity for tea/coffee and cake for parents and carers.
There is no obligation to stay for the whole time – you can leave after the first hour if you wish, and the price is the same as for our one hour sessions for over 1s.
NB If you are a new customer coming for the first time, your session will be charged at HALF PRICE. Do call in advance to reserve your place – we would hate for you to be disappointed by turning up for a class that is full.
There is limited parking available at this venue, but public car parks are a short walk away (2-3 minutes). Please do not park in The Library car park.
This is a large hall so can accommodate a large number of children and there is plenty of room for children (if mobile) to run around and let off steam. Class numbers at this venue vary from 10 – 35, depending on the weather and the time of year. Baby-change facilities available.
